On the 16th & 17th October, the Department for the Economy, in conjunction with the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), held an event in Belfast and Derry aimed at opening up the discussion on how we best develop Northern Ireland’s strategic direction for skills for the next decade.

The OECD team has developed a series of potential opportunities which they consider may help to address the challenges identified through their consultations and will be presenting these for discussion at two Skills Stakeholder workshops, as detailed above.

It is important that there is a good representation of the Tourism Economy and this is your opportunity to challenge the recommendations and make your voice heard as this is shaping the future strategic skills agenda for Northern Ireland.
